25-year warranty on solar panels & 10-year warranty on the inverter.
I chose UPS Solar as they were a local company and they provided 40 solar panels, inverter, batteries and an EV charger for a 3 phase supply. They gave an excellent service throughout and the 2 man installation team did a great job completing a complicated setup in 3 days. Follow up emails have outlined the necessary steps to complete the export setup, register warranties etc. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rob and Tony and the team at UPS Solar.Alan Tye Very pleased with the whole experience from UPS. No pressure from the sales team - and they were very understanding when a change in personal circumstances meant I had to delay proceeding with the contract. When I picked it up again it was winter, but the installation team were committed and professional despite the freezing conditions. Work was completed to a very high standard and I'm very pleased with the whole installation. The Duracell inverter and batteries are looking to be a quality product (time will tell) and are working well with the solar panels. I've had the system for two full weeks now and between the small amount of solar power generated so far, and being able to charge the batteries at night with cheap off-peak power (and then selling some of it back at peak times), I've already reduced my weekly electricity bill by 75%. I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs as the weather improves. If I've one niggle, it's around the Duracell Energy App - setup was a pain and it's not the most functional of apps but this is not a fault of UPS. I wholeheartedly recommend UPS. LU - Malmesbury, Wilts.Wibble Wobble UPS solar is really good company for Solar installation. Top professional in this area.Sonal Maheshwari Updated: Everything is good. The guys came back and reset my loft insulation and crawling boards as was. Changeover switch is now installed and working, but best of all I decided upon a bigger battery. I started with 5.2 kWh and it quickly became apparent that this was not enough, I was running out overnight after exporting for most of the day. I now have 15.3kWh of battery and from mid March to late October did not buy a kWh other than to supply the parasitic load from the inverter. (About 200-300 Wh per day) Even better though I have an EV tariff, this not only charges my EV at a low rate, it charges my battery. Now for the 3-4 months when the sun is less than present I can charge overnight and run on battery during the day. This now means that SEG earnings plus cost avoided adds up to nearly £1400 per year, giving a payback just shy of 9 years. If standing charges disappear it will get even better. The lesson, get the biggest PV array and battery you can afford. Things to remember: Get the agreed position etc all down in writing and make sure you are there for the install. Have used them again but with tighter control and will use them again after that. Next the final 5.2kWh of battery when I have the money and an EV charger, not at the same time though. Beyond pleased.Wiffy Smell96 Excellent service from start to finish. Would recommend 100%Paula Keating When I was looking for a system, UPS Solar were highly rated in a top ten review on the Independent online newspaper, so I asked them for quote. I had three other quotes as well from other companies. I found UPS very easy to deal with, professional and knowledgeable, but not pushy. The price that we agreed for the job was competitive (not the cheapest) and payment was on completion, so a deposit was not required as with most providers. The survey was highly informative and the planning for installation day on 26th November 2024 was very simple. The scaffolding went up three days before and came down two days after installation so that was great. The electrician on the day Si Parker was first class. He arrived on time and worked tirelessly all day into the evening, he explained how things worked for me in layman’s terms. The only thing that I wasn’t happy with on the day was that the panel fitters who came were sub-contractors which I did not find out about until after they had left. They didn’t check in with me when they arrived or before they left. When I realised that they had gone I checked my roof, and I was not happy with the position of the rear panels (not fitted symmetrically as per the plans). I told the electrician and although he didn’t really want to get involved, he did ring the head office to say that I wanted to speak to the roofers. They came back after a while and following a discussion agreed that the panels should be moved. Had they communicated with me when on site this could have been avoided. The system has been up and running since day one and I am getting used to how it works. I am now waiting for Octopus to fit a smart meter so that I can go onto an import/export tariff to charge the battery at night and sell any surplus electricity back to them if I have any! Early days but fingers crossed, no problems so far. If you are looking for a solar power system, then I would recommend UPS Solar.Keith Churchman We had 15 solar panels, an inverter and two batteries fitted. Liam organised the lot. He was very thorough, helpful and professional. We are really pleased with the job. Thanks Liam.Mike Baker I ordered solar panels, battery, inverter, changeover switch and EV charger via Solar Together in Cheshire West. Everything laid out in the description of what was to happen came about exactly when and how it had been described, from estimates, survey, acceptance, scaffolding and installation.
